There are no known genes or genes that are suspected to cause disease. There are the recent discoveries of a gene on chromosome 1 that is associated with lupus in certain families. Previously, when genes on chromosome 6 of the immune response genes are also associated with the disease. Only 10 percent of lupus patients) have a close relative (parent, brother or sister have or develop lupus. Statistics show that only five percent the children to develop people is born with the disease lupus.

There you can ask questions.
Good luck!
Lupus is not hereditary. Research has shown that genetic susceptibility to lupus is hereditary. Some of the research this week, but nothing is final.
From what I read, it is likely that about 5% if the mother has lupus. A woman with lupus who are pregnant, an obstetrician specializing in high-risk pregnancies are to consult and work closely with the rheumatologist. Lupus pregnancy may cause premature births.
Some babies born to mothers with neonatal lupus lupus, which is usually born within six months. A very, very few children with congenital heart block.
Most people in my support group, such as I have, children without lupus.
