Can alcohol drinks causes hepatitis B or C ? - drinking after someone with hepatitis b

my friend just diagnosed with hepatitis C. .. The doctor of alcohol consumption that has taken over the last two years, it is presumed the cause of hepatitis C. The doctor also suspect he also has hepatitis B.

But I have not found an article which said that drinking alcohol causes hepatitis B or C.

Can anyone throw light on the relationship between alcohol and hepatitis B or C. ..
